Welcome to the PlascomCM multiphysics simulation application!
PlasComCM is a code written to solve for the fluid motion of a compressible fluid in (possibly complex) geometries. The code uses a modular framework within the language constraints of Fortran 90 to treat objects (e.g., grids, derivatives, etc.) as independently as possible and with as much runtime configuration as possible. The main purpose of the code is to provide a flexible platform for solving problems involving compressible turbulence, including sound generation, sound propagation, and fluid-structure interaction. Over time additional features have been added that, while not desirable for accurate turbulence simulations, may have utility in other contexts (e.g., second order finite differences). The user bears full responsibility for choosing the appropriate tool.
